The following was paraphrased from Wikipedia:
Woodhouse's Scrub-Jay is a species of scrub jay native to western North America, ranging from southeastern Oregon, Idaho, and south to central Mexico. This handsome fellow was photographed in central Arizona. Until recently, Woodhouse's Scrub-Jay was considered the same species as the California Scrub-Jay and called the Western Scrub-Jay. Before that, the Island Scrub-Jay and the Florida Scrub-Jay were also considered to be the same species and all were called Scrub Jays.
Woodhouse's Scrub-Jay is not migratory and can often be found in urban areas, where it visits bird feeders. While many refer to scrub jays as Blue Jays -- look closely, the Blue-Jay is a different bird entirely.
Very good work, regardless of name!
Very nice capture. Thanks for posting that information my Life List just increased by one while I was sitting around doing nothing.

Thanks, Curmudgeon:
The Spitters win a round.
Years ago, I had a similar experience with Myrtle, Audubon's, and Yellow-rumped Warblers.

Yep I have passed through 600 life birds at least 3 times.
Either that's a pretty little guy, or you made him look pretty. Either way, nice shot!
