Two snowy egrets arguing over a fish. One very determined to hold onto the prize, the other determined to get near it! Shot in the Goleta Beach slough.....the action was fast and the challenger finally gave up! Using the Sony RX10, ISO 100, shutter speed 1/3200, handheld.

I have photographed a similar encounter except the Egret tried to steal the fish from a Cormorant who simply dived under water and disappeared leaving the potential hijacker asking, "which way did he go?"
