A most amazing man ! I first heard him via AM radio in the late 80's while I was passing through Philadelphia. Been a listener ever since.

https://thehill.com/homenews/media/539213-rush-limbaugh-dead-at-70Well, way back when before my radio listening years my older brother and sister listened to him as a DJ where I grew up in Pittsburgh. What is remarkable is that there are several surviving DJs from that era that worked in Pittsburgh that have become talk radio swills swallows just like Rush did. It must be a generational thing. Virtually everyone over the age of 65 today is some sort of angry old man with issues...I blame the Vietnam War for creating these social pariahs and angry seniors.

I disagreed with virtually everything he said. I think he was a purveyor of propaganda. However, there was a time when he was merely a conservative. Seemed back then to be a straight-shooter.
Though I differed greatly with him politically, I sympathize with his wife and any family who today are feeling pain and loss. Lung Cancer is a horrible way to pass. I empathize with all who had a bond with him, even if they never met the man. Surely, death transcends politics. McCain was not my guy, but he, too was a prominent man who was revered by many. I had great respect for his heroism. We should all mourn the loss of such people, be they right or left wing, even moderate centrists go this way, but once.
