Shown wide so we can also see the local country...this is about 25 miles east of Bryce Canyon off Highway 12. Spent some time as a teenager working summers on a farm like this in North Dakota. Hard work and also fun times!

The cows look well cared for. There certainly wouldn't be a lot for them to eat on their own. This is an interesting barnyard shot!

Many thanks, Carol...in many parts of the west it take 10 or more acres to feed a cow if not supplemented with hay. Lots of sparse, arid country that is also devoid of shade.
