"spoonies" (Roseate Spoonbill)

Spoonies don't get their full vivid colours until they reach 4 years. The first 2 frames are of a fully mature spoonbill and second 2 of one that I think is about a year. These were all captured last week at Black Point Drive....Downloads really show off the detail.....

Usually appear in the winter but occasionally see one in the summer...thanks for commenting, Savannah!

as I'm new to bird photos after buying my Tamron 150-600 G2 with my first stimulus check (my independent camera store, woodland hills, was thrilled for my support in these trying times), and curious about you lens, iso, f stop, and speed. thanks

I believe that the 600 G2 is a great lens! I use a Nikon D850 and shoot Manual Mode with auto ISO and the lens responds well. Birds in flight...the lens is great!
