Excellent set of beautiful scenes.
Thanks for some great images. I remember being in Grand Marais several years ago. I ate at a cafe named The Angry Trout. I had a wonderful meal, but what topped it off were the waitresses singing the old Kitty Wells song "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels" the answer song to Hank Thompson's "The Wild Side of Life". It was a memorable evening.
I don't think I could have done that, but the photos you got were truly amazing. Great job to a person much tougher than me.

Spent the weekend in Grand Marais, MN at a workshop, battling -17F (-42F windchill) temperatures.
Thanx for sharing these wonderful, but cold-looking shots!
I love Grand Marais, it's a great little town. I've been there on four wonderful workshops with Bryan Hansel. There are so many great locations to shoot there, and Bryan seems to know them all. Here are a few of mine over the years

Lots of spots to shoot this great little lighthouse.

Taken during a Night Skies workshop in 2016. Milky Way and my first (and only) time seeing the northern lights. This was 10 minutes into the workshop, I was ready to go home after this!

Hope they were open for you, they are pretty darn good!

Nice shots. Yes, my workshop was with Bryan, and he knows the spots and us generous to share. Sadly, the World’s Best Donuts was closed for the season.
The town does kind of close up in the winter time. Can't blame them, that is a different type of cold up there.
Nice captures, but it is too cold for me.
