I am currently running my Mac Book on Apple's Mojave system; need to decide on update to Big Sur. Has anyone had problems with this update? Thanks.
Mark
No. I'm a beta tester for Apple, and Big Sur has already received two updates. The current shipping version is 11.2 (I am testing 11.3, and it's solid, too).
One caveat, since you're still on Mojave (10.14.x), support for 32-bit applications is gone. You can get the
free Go64 app which will identify any apps you may have that won't run under Catalina and later (Big Sur).

Do the update. Bugs seem to have been fixed with interim updates. You may need to update other software also.
my mouse, keyboard and external hard drives will quit at random times. Have done all the updates
Yes first time with upgrade. Some files were unable to be transferred according to a message I received from Apple and so Apple put them in a "recent file" but did not identify the file name so I had to go through all my files to find it. And Bridge does not work and as a matter of fact it comes up a blank screen when I bring it up with a black box off to the side. Curiously enough Camera Raw and Photoshop seem ok. I haven't tried to do much with the problem because sure it will involve reloading Bridge, finding passwords and all that goes with it. I keep few pictures files on this computer- no more than 100 as it's not my working computer.
So the point in all this is to make sure that you back up or copy your pictures before you upgrade to Big Sur or any major system upgrade.

Are all your apps up to date? Bridge works fine for me with Big Sur.

Probably just updated a few days before this happened.
I upgraded from Mojave to Big Sur (skipped Catalina) and encountered no problems.
I'm not a fan of some of the new icons, but that's a minor concern.

Back up everything you think is important.
I’m running it on both an iMac and MacBook Pro—no issues.
My Big Sur was a nightmare on my desktop from Mojave. Mail was not working right, TM is not working right., Had some other issues I can't recall now. Spent total of about 14 hrs on several phone calls with Mac Senior consultants. And my main problem with BS is thst it is so slow on too many tasks. I get the spinning wheel way too many times and for too long.

If, I may sign in to Adobe, forgot the password and request a new password for your licenses, and Bridge would be available.

I am on Catalina and my McAfee application informs me to hold off updating to Big Sur. That looks like a great tool to use. As soon as I am at my desk I will give it a go. Thanks!
