On the 6500, you will have to use a faster shutter speed to avoid movement blur. Try 1/1000s and put your ISO on auto - ƒ 8.

That was what I was thinking for the next trip out. Especially after I saw this one. 6.3 1/500 ISO 100, how auto set it. I usually keep my camera on auto encase I need to grab a shot, but the manual really is auto when you set the ISO to auto.

The shutter speed will help, however, good first workout for a new lens.
