We had a small snowstorm yesterday and I wondered what raptors do in the snow. Here are a few photos from the trip to Farmington Bay in Utah.
Focus is a little hard to get with large snowflakes but it makes for interesting photos.

Great photos. A picture is more than a sharply focused image.

Excellent downloads Steve,
Excellent work, Steve! That must have been a cold shoot.
Mike,
Thanks for your comments. It probably wasn't any colder than your shoot on Monday. (really nice photos by the way) Fortunately, the wind was hardly blowing. Which was good because the snowflakes were huge and it would have been quite a blizzard. It was kind of fun trying to get a good focus through the snow.

I have enough problem getting a focus on a good day.

Nice shooting under challenging conditions. Love the eagle on the no wake buoy. Also, I found your final shot interesting. At my eagle spot, the second the gulls see an eagle, they take flight. If there are a lot of gulls, you can hear them taking off. Your gulls don't seem too concerned. They would be quickly killed at my little spot. Gary

It was sort of fun with the big snowflakes and little wind. Thanks for looking, maybe we will see you there sometime.
