The Doves Sparrows, Redwing Blackbirds and Cardinal all beat feet when the Coopers Hawk arrived. He hunted hi and low until he flushed a Sparrow from the old Christmas tree. He must have missed because he came right back and continued his hunt.

Very good job. The focus is spot on. I like the comps.

Great shot especially of the Coopers hawk Bill. I bet they beat it when he showed up

Great shots of both but with the GIANT image of the dove that dwarfs the hawk image it appears that the dove is gonna kick his ass!

Thanks very much.
Doves are no puch over. I have seen them wack Jay's upside the head with a wing when the Jay got too pushy. But Ebird says Coopers Hawks enjoy Breast of Dove on a bed of dead grass with a twist of feather.

Thanks JD.
I was watching the Cardinal, it was in one of the feeders. I was trying to will the Cardinal to relocate to a spot where I want to photograph it. All of the sudden it exploded out of the feeder and hit a window with a glancing blow. Good thing or it would have been lunch.
The Hawk first landed on the fence , looked around like "where did everybody go?"

Thanks very much Mike.
I appreciate your saying that. I have been wondering if my images have improved or if I have been just thinking they have.

Both are beautiful images, but your Coopers shot is perfect!
