I thought I would share with you the first picture I did in 1978 when I started out doing hand drawn colored portraits using Chalk Pastels onto a Hot Press White Board and the Redo I did using my new skills inside PS and the usage of a Wacom Pen & Tablet done in 2016 . I have learned even more after the redo to now .The original hand drawn photo I had framed and matted and sealed by a art store in the town near by back then . I was surprised when the owner who does oil paintings and his photographer told me for the first picture I have ever done was really a good start . The owner gave me some tips which I used there after . The sad thing is when my house burnt down on Christmas Eve of 1994 , I lost all the colorings I did after the 1st one I did and had no photo prints of any of them like I did with the first one which I gave a copy of the picture to the lady at the funeral home that buried my dad which liked Reba too and was the one my neighbors got from her and had a photo shop store make an enlarge copy which they gave me as a gift . I must admit when I started to pull it out of the wrapping , I felt a tear come to my eyes , and told them , thank you so much . She was my favorite singer back then .
The thing back then using colored chalk . Once applied to the hot press white board , your kinda stuck with the applied color and can't remove it like you can using undo in PS
Now I use my skills more for restoring and coloring of photos vs drawing from scratch .
Very well done, amazing detail!

I think your hand drawing is a better likeness than the photo work.
Just a thought. If your Photoshop skills are up to it would it be worth a try to overlay your drawing over your colorized photo and blending them in?
