What's the shared aspect of these two images

A little brain teaser. These were taken two years apart. One from public lands east and north of the Colorado River - San Juan River confluence and one from the Navajo Nation (the arch). Answer coming tomorrow. Please view in download.

Well done. That "peak" is called The Talus Trail Tower and it's on the south edge of the Kaparowits plateau just north of Lake Powell. It's seen from two of the most remote difficult to reach spots in the 48 states. The arch it's viewed thru is on Nasja Mesa on the northern Navajo Nation (so you're looking north towards the Talus Tower). The orange pinnacle we call The Fang and it's in Lost Cowboy country, (here we're looking west towards Talus Tower)
