I'm close to buying the last iteration of the Sony RX 10 but it's now about 4 years old and am concerned that it may soon be updated. Anyone info about that would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
I am a long time Sony user and a member of Sony Pro services. I have not seen any rumors on the RX10. If they did an update, it would be likely that the video would be upgraded, The focus and sensor might be upgraded to similar to the a7C or the a1. Not to mention the price will be higher too. Just like computers and any electronics.... Get what you want today because tomorrow there will always be something newer and better. If you are always waiting for that next version... you will be waiting forever and never get what you want.

If you keep waiting for the next update you’ll never buy a camera because there will always be a next update. Even if another update does come along, the one you buy now will continue to give the same wonderful results.
Like you I have been waiting because there are rumors out there however as mentioned on here there are no timeframes. There are no deals for the current version but there are some used ones available from the good companies.
In general it seems that development of new bridge cameras has been quite slow, among all brands. That's a shame. I think bridge cameras serve a good purpose.

I've had the RX10 III and now have the IV. I can't think of anything I'd really need in a future version...

I've gotten what I wanted and thanks. Improving video won't matter to me so I'll likely get the IV as is. Thanks again.
