nice place to go to no one is there and it really is peaceful. I like the little bird blind one the left between the two last trees on the left

I love the rural flavor! A really nice place to soak up nature and to be with your thoughts...!
exactly I was there over an hour and did not see a person. Lots of birds in the spring and Summer also you can go fishing there I was told. I rode about a mile on a straight dirt road with many dirt road intersections. Where I stoped was at an intersection and there was still more road ahead of me with a tree line. I hope you enjoyed the picture as much as I enjoyed being there Thank you
Very nice work, Lenny! These old eyes would like to see that in "download", if possible.
Thank you I think u have to do that from your end

No, you have to click "store original" as well as "Attachment" and then the "Download" appears with your post.
For such a densely populated state (where I lived for many years), NJ has it's quiet, remote places, also.
Thanks for sharing it with the others who have been there and those who will never visit that area in their lifetimes.
The Pine Barrons are actually huge and there is a lot of open space I live in Jackson and it is basically under developed lots of open land. But if you go five miles east you are in Freehold and that is dense from there north. Thanks for dropping in and your kind words

I like this image! I do love and miss the Pine barrens- in the 50s and early 60s I worked summers as a bog laborer- bull-hooking the clogging roots out of the irrigation canals and spraying the bogs with pesticides and selective herbicides. Days off I’d explore the pines and cedar swamps from Double Trouble down to the Mullica. Canoed a lot on the Mullica and Wading rivers. Spent time poking about ruins here and there...Upton Station, Mt Misery, and Chatsworth come to mind.
So yes, I’m eager for more images from the Pine Barrens. Keep your eyes open for Erich Brunner; he is an avid and quite accomplished photographer of the pines who also posts here on UHH.
Best regards,
Dave
