This is a photo of my mom, she worked with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans back in the day, My photo shop won't clean this one up, is this beyond repair?
I am sure it is savable - I am sure someone here will do it for you -I wish my PC was not in the hospital so I could give it a try - maybe I'll get a chance tomorrow.

I am sure it is repairable. It will likely require using liquify to fix up the nose. I haven't learned how to do that yet with Photoshop. Let's hope some more experienced Photoshop experts come to table.
Here's an amateur's try...

I used to do this for people who had many old photos that had suffered 'ageism!) The best way is to re photograph the image, and work from the new image. You can scan the resultant print, but in my experience the only way is to work in black & white, and then when you have repaired all the damage, you can use photoshop to add a tint as required.
I've lost count of the number of battered family heirlooms that have been almost consigned to the bin, but have been resurrected to a grateful
grandad/ grandma, allowing them to have their memories.
I'm going to try it. Do you have this picture as a print? Did you scan it? Can you re-scan it at the highest possible dpi and email it to me?
This is my quick try with Photoshop CS3. See if it helps.

The Clone stamp will cover this up pretty well in a few minutes in Photoshop. make yourself familiar with the clone stamp and finish this one off that I've attached. This has got it started for you anyway.

Clone stamp - a bit more needed.
As is now obvious, I've not done this type of thing before. But I thought I'd give it a go.
Cloning and spot healing works to some degree
The talent possessed by some of the people on this site simply amazes me. I'm impressed by your abilities and willingness to share. :-D :-D
