After 80 years, I thought I had seen a lot. But, today I saw a panhandler with a sign wanting help. Not unusual. Regularly see them on this corner. However, he had a propane heater with a large propane bottle to keep him warm. Wonder how much help he really needs.
Some of the “signers” around this small town have reported daily incomes of near or over $100.oo.
Pretty darn good.

I don’t give panhandlers money. I’m not sure what they will do with it. I would rather give what I have leftover from lunch. I would rather buy something from a nearby restaurant or vendor.
The best sign I’ve seen stated:
“I won’t lie, I want to buy beer!”
You can’t fault the “signer” for that. What beer do they like?
Not sure, but I bet he could afford whatever ‘Piss’ he wanted at the end-o-day.
I’m okay with American Beer. But I prefer a Spaten or a Radeberger.
I have a British friend who refers to our beer as “Near Frozen Gnat’s Piss”
Did you see the recent joke about the three beer CEO’s?
Personal pref. is wine, but triple-Bock is good . . .
Guinness 9 months out the year...Dentergems for the 3 months of summer.
I used to give a buck at a popular corner if caught by the red light.
Finally, I just kept a few tall boys in my cooler, and started to give that out instead.
A police officer saw me and flagged me down.
'You can't do that' he said.
'I'm just skipping a step for them' I replied.
He chuckled and was sympathetic...but then said... 'I'm going to have 50 homeless ppl on this corner if you continue'.
I stopped...his logic was sound.

SNPA, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, my choice if I can't have Guinness.
I once saw a panhandler, turned around and went to McDonalds for a couple of Big Macs, fries, coke, and apple pie. Went to the panhandler and gave him the package..... he refused it saying all I take is money. I’m not hungry.
Last time I helped this type out
I worked downtown Philadelphia for 3 years and in the same spot each day as I walked to the office I passed a young girl with a mutt type dog in the same place. To her, this must have been a business and easier than working.
