Great image of the spoonbill. Try the Alligator Farm in St. A for nesting and breeding birds in their full color.

Finding wildlife/birds in my area has become a real challenge of late 8-( . It was a dull overcast day - a good opportunity to use my FF Sony A99 and 300 2.8 lens I thought .

After much searching I found a pair of mature Spoonbills - this one was the closest to full breeding colors...

Sony A99, Tamron 300mm f2.8, Minolta 1.4X APO, +1.4X Clear Image Zoom = 568mm, 1/320, f4, ISO 400, from carpod, in dull overcast light.....a small cropping.

Thanks for stopping by and to comment....Larry

Very nice. You should take a look at Black Point. Before it's too late. I've been getting a lot of Spoonbills there but the numbers are definitely diminishing. Hurry!

Excellent capture and rendering. I'm really missing being able to travel and seeing the Southern wildlife! Sigh. Please keep on shooting and sharing.
