This lovely fellow dropped by yesterday while I was supposed to be taking it easy on my eye. (The right eye) So I switched up and snagged a few images of the Sharpshinned Hawk with my left eye.
Lots left to process but I exersized both eyes a bit this afternoon for this one.

The funny thing is, about 4' below the hawk is a RedBellied Woodpecker trying to pretend its not there. I managed to grab a couple shots with both the Hawk and Woodpecker. More to come.

Great shot of the hawk. I look forward to seeing the other shots you took.

Thanks Ballard. Funny how we posted look alike birds back to back. Great shot of your Coopers Hawk. Cool how they show up on schedule isn't it?

Thanks Mike,
My wife is keeping a sharp eye on me not overdoing it. She knew there was little use objecting yesterday when this landed on the perch out back.

Yep. Looks like they should have been part of the same set. This fellow has been coming around most days now. A couple of times I watched as he has snatched a bird right off the bird feeder (including a humming bird one day). Unfortunately I haven't been able to catch a photo of the action as it happens so fast. Reminds me of the old saying about hanging the bird feed lower to the ground turns it into a cat feeder.
