Don't use hand dishwashing soap in an automatic dishwasher. Pic was taken after most of the suds were wiped up. It was funny to watch a big glob ooze out of the bottom - it was almost like you see in TV ads :)

Nasty! If you have not yet found LemiShine products for your dishwasher, you have missed the best product I've ever used. Use the whole product set for best results.

Am I to take that comment tongue firmly in cheek?

Nasty in respect to your experience and mess. Entirely factual on the products - do a search - many places to buy, I find it convenient to order online. Gives the best results I have seen from any dishwasher product.

I ONLY use dishwashing soap in a dishwasher, and only one drop at that, when giving my Nikon and Leica cameras and lenses a thorough cleaning to get them as clean as possible. Top rack ONLY of course. After they dry a short burst of WD-40 to the innards and I am good to go for another few months.

Did that once, cleanest I'd ever seen the floor, PIA though.

Tried that once and when I returned about an hour later the suds had filled the entire kitchen and dining area to a neck deep sea of suds. They are not simple and easy to clean up.

Denis2146: Don't say that. Remember the YouTube video that had people drilling into their smart phones to find a mon-existing earphone jack.

Thats not as bad as what I did 25 yrs ago.
I was having trouble getting a serpentine belt on a Bus because it was cold and had taken set from the packaging I usually just hung them in the sun for awhile, but it was the middle of winter, enter Microwave, set the belt on fire, ruined the microwave , not to self--Don't do that!!!

I do not remember the YouTube video you are talking about. But I do recall a few similar posts where members had a field day JOKING about how they clean their fine cameras and lenses. If anybody is actually, looking for an acceptable word here, FOOLISH, enough to do as I said then they are just not the brightest bulbs in the box, ripest banana of the bunch and so on.

It was a joke. Tell me you didn't find it humorous too. Tell us you were not smiling when you read it. Wait a minute here...Your post is also a joke isn't it?

Have a wonderful day my friend. IF this happened to your camera for some reason hanging the camera and lenses on a clothesline set to Drip-Dry usually helps a bunch.

For a minute there, perhaps for just a second I was imagining a belt going around the bus in the middle, maybe, what, 150 feet long. Then I realized you were talking about a serpentine belt for the ENGINE of a bus and not the bus itself.

I bet we could have a pages long thread about people and microwaves. Please no frogs or cats in the microwave though.

If it was 25 years ago I am sure all is well now. Great story. Made my morning.
