It takes a special kind of brilliance to think that leftists would masquerade as rightists and invade the Capitol to reverse an election they had already won.

Doesn't matter, the right will believe anything as long as it's what they want to hear.
Many times after Trump has said or done something really stupid, I have thought that there would be no way his bad behavior could be twisted into a positive. But always through rationalization, deflection, and excuses, the right finds a way to defend the indefensible.
Inciting an insurrection against his own country should have been the last straw for this failed President, but not even that makes a difference to the blind loyalists.
These are strange days.

Its not an unknown tactic to have a few masquerade as the opposite side and instigate. Its surprisingly easy to instigate a mob mentality especially when some in that mob's emotions are running way too high. The far right has done it.
That being said, we will never know if a few did that.

The instigators certainly could have slipped away. The ones inside who have been charged, and will continue to be charged, might try the insanity plea.

It certainly was insane of them to think they could get away with it.

I'm chuckling heartily at your pithy observation, while still crying inside.

True, many think Trump won the election. What a bunch of goobers.
Indeed, I was amazed that the rioters were almost all Blacks! Saw many BLM placards. NOT !
I was amazed that the rioters were almost all illegal Mexican immigrants. They brought their crime, they brought their drugs...

That's an exceptionally brilliant, biting retort.
