Didn't Obama give it to Oprah Winfrey as well as other assorted people who didn't do much to deserve it? Each President has power of this sort and uses it as he sees fit. Of course the other party thinks it is bad. So tell us what is different about Trump from Obama who, according to the opposing party screwed it up.
You will agree with Obama's choices because you like Obama. You disagree with Trump's choices because you hate Trump. Why not just admit your hatred runs deep and get it over with.

I don't know who Obama gave it to and I don't care. I disagree with Nunes and Jordan because I know who they are, have watched them, and thing they are political whores. I would have no problem with Trump giving the award to someone I respected. It is the recipients, not Trump, in this case.

You as well presume way too much by saying I don't think before responding. I give my posts a great deal of thought as I did this one. Say what you like but I still agree with my thought process. I could say the very same thing about Democratic Congressmen or Senators who are, to me, about the lowest form of air breathers on the planet. But I don't see you ever saying anything negative about them. Consider Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters, Jerry Nadler and Debbie Wasserman Shultz. All are Democratic Congress members who are dishonest and corrupt. Do you speak out against their corruption and dishonesty?

If any of the Democrats that you mention were awarded the same medal, I would approve or disapprove based upon my knowledge of each. I don’t respect Nunes or Jordan—no matter who gave them the award.
If any congressional member engages in clear dishonestly or corrupt behavior, I would have no problem admitting it.

I am with Kmgw9v on this one. It is Trump's choices that matter, not Trump. He is rewarding loyalty, and nothing else. Nunes and Jordan have been a$$ki$$ing from Day1, and from their actions, behaviours, demeanours and personalities they are just as despicable as Trump.
Trump has abused his authority and desecrated the office of POTUS. And now he has demeaned the intent and meaning of the Medal of Freedom. These two individuals do not represent the good expected of a civil servant; rather, they sit just on top of the lowest of the low -- Trump. You can put Pence and McConnell just a bit above them, or maybe even beside them. Don't be surprised if Trump offers them the same "honour."

And my point is that EVERY President makes choices of who to award medals. The other party either likes or dislikes his choice. All I can say is if you don't like it then suck it up and move on. It really is no big deal one way or the other, just something more for you on the Left to whine about.
