These plants suddenly started appearing in my neighborhood a few weeks ago. Apparently, late fall and early winter in the Northeast is the perfect climate for them. Gardeners and landscapers like them because they add a little color when there are few other plants around. We had a substantial snowstorm about two weeks ago (now all melted), and the plants survived nicely.
These pictures were taken at various times in the last three weeks. The first picture shows one when newly planted, and the last one was taken yesterday. All comments welcome and thanks for looking.
