Thank you for the information and recommendations.
I think sending the camera to the Nikon Repair Service here on the East coast of the US is a safe strategy.
Also, I'm not sure if the warranty will cover the repair so they would have this information.
Thanks again...you guys are a great source.
You probably want to use <quote reply> to reply back to specific posts. I'd try another SD card before sending off for a repair estimate as what you described in the first post sounds like a card problem rather than a camera problem.
Thanks... I've ordered another card. I'll test the camera with the new card before I send it off to be repaired.
Second for APC in Chicago. They fixed by beloved 70-200 AFS VR quickly and for reasonable $$ when Nikon no longer would service it.

I've used these guys several times & have been more that satisfied . I greatly prefer APS to Nikon USA, if they have the parts.
Nikon has a repair facility in New York City, I just received my Z7 back from them, they did an excellent job. I don't know their address but you can google it.
Thank you for the recommendation.

I recently dropped my gray-market D7500. I took it to a local camera shop (Larmon Photo in Willow Grove, PA). They sent it out locally for repair. It came back 10 days later fixed and cleaned up for a grand total of $124.00 plus tax. Based on my experience, I recommend taking it to your local camera store and let them worry about who is good.
Local camera store ? What's that ? Do they still exist ?
Thanks...sounds like good advice.
My camera may still be on warrantee, however.
I wonder if an independent repair service would submit the repair for warrantee coverage.
