It got down to 20 degrees so I got out my bubble juice for a early morning shoot.

The liquid
200 ml warm water
35 ml corn syrup
35 ml Dawn dish soap
2 tablespoons sugar

You need to mix the liquid at least a few hours ahead of time. I mixed this batch last year!

I used a tube made from a fat ink pen to blow the bubbles..

I used a Nikon D750, 105mm af macro lens, iso 1250, f/9, 1/125.

Thanks very much. How long to let it freeze? Just until it shows pretty shapes or pops?

The colder it is, the faster the ice crystals form. This one took about 20 seconds. I don't like the full ice look, the clear top is my favorite.
