But why the Panic. Why the Lockdown. Why the destruction of the economy. Since the highest percentage of fatalities occur in those over 70, for those under that age the death rate is ten times less or 0.16 % or a survival rate of over 99%. Thye cure has been worse than the disease( or is ir purely political, so as to destroy the "Trump economy--purely a wild speculation)

The lockdowns are why the number of deaths is as "low" as it is (and I don't consider 300,000 to be low). If we strove for herd immunity we would have more than three million dead, and countless others who would never fully recover from the disease.

It's not just about the deaths. One of the reasons for the shutdown in the first place was keeping hospitals from being overwhelmed. Now they are nearing capacity. This is a miserable disease if you have it bad enough to be hospitalized, and there are now know to be long lasting symptoms we don't even know the extent of yet.

But how many died because of those shutdowns. Ho many died because ,if they were not civid patients thet were refused treatment. Howmany diedfrom suicide because of those shutdowns???? We will never know. How many lives were ruined by thoSE shutdowns???? same answer. Just what do you think is the death rate of the annual flu? Would it surprise you to know it's about.8%. Or about 1/2 the covid rate. Amd almost ALL those deaths were for those well under the age of 70.Childrem. The death rate of Covid ijn children is more than twice the flu deaths. am not sayin the covid is not a serious problem.All saying is thyat the lockdowns caused more harm thyan the disease. And if we had just let the virus run free, there wouldn't have been enough room in the hospitals for Covid patients, much less people with other conditions, snd a much higher number of deaths.

The total number us nuch less but the percentage of deaths relative to cases is only hjalf but in anout 100% in children. The percentage of deaths in children is nuch higher in the seasonal flu. I did check the numbers. Im suggest you do the same
