Just wondering if MPB gives a good trade in on used cameras?

That depends on what you consider "good". They pay about 50% of market value.
Selling a fuji xe2 (excellent condition) for a fuji xt1 (excellent condition). Giving me $185 for xe2 with me paying a balance of $174 for the xt1.

For reference, I sold my excellent X-E2 on UHH for $225, and MPB is getting about $275. I see that they have an X-T1 listed for $364.

I have had success with them and have bought/sold 3 times, and I am pleased
I didn't make a trade or sell to them but, they offered me double what B&H & Nikon offered.
They offered me more than KEH or BH on some lens sales recently. Also paid for shipping. Add in commissions and fees I did not pay on Ebay, plus annoyance and value of my time, the gap (about 10%) vs. selling myself, closed rather quickly.

I've done trade-ins with MPB and I think they are fair. They're not going to give you what your equipment is worth because they have to make a profit so if that bothers you list and sell it yourself.

For reference I bought an X-E1 in very nice condition from a private party for $150. The X-E2 offers vey little in upgrade from the X-E1.

I recently wanted to sell my Olympus 300mm f/4 Pro lens. I got an initial offer from KEH for $1100.00. I sent them the lens and after a week of inspecting the lens they offered me $654. They said there were problems with the lens, something about water in the lens. I had them send the lens back to me. I looked in the lens and couldn't see anything. I took a series of photos and blowing up to 400% could see nothing wrong. I decided to send the lens to MPB. The initial offer was $1120.00. Sending the lens was easy as they supplied a free shipping label. When they received it, I got an e-mail that it will take about a week to check it out. After a week their offer was $1120.00. I accepted and the money was deposited in my bank account that day. Not sure what KEH saw that MPB didn't.
I recently did business with MPB (for the first time) and was completely satisfied with the price they quoted and gave me for an older, but in excellent condition Nikkor 300mm f4:1 lens (which I tried selling on the UHH for a lower price than what MPB gave me, but never received any offers) and the purchase of an X-T2 vertical power booster grip, which is in excellent condition (as stated on MPB's listed offering) and at an excellent price compared to new. I would definitely do business with them again!

What exactly is MPB? I know KEH and BH, never heard of MPB.

I’ve bought and sold using MPB. In all cases, their buy offer was better than “all” others including KEH, Adorama, B&H, etc. I’ve bought once and their price was slightly less than all who had the same camera in stock. I checked the price of the lenses I sold them and estimate I got about 60-65% of the selling price. What you receive is obviously dependent on condition, their inventory and demand.

I have used them several times selling gear. They are competitive with KEH. Expect to get about 45-50% of what you paid if in excellent condition and relatively current, depending on the item.
I don't buy used gear any more.
Just an opinion. CoachP you might want to consider the X-T2. Its auto focusing capabilities are much improved over the X-T1 from what I've read which is why I purchased a used X-T2 recently from an UHH user. The X-T2 also has a lot more customizing features compared to the X-T1 which may be very useful depending upon your needs.
