Nothing for our struggling restaurant industry but plenty for this. Everyone of these "law" makers need to be booted out...all of them. I guess we know where the campaign money comes from. Also 6000 pages. Tell me who read it.

The only thing that will save the restaurant industry is
customers .
A government slug of money that promotes restaurants staying open. . Standing around without customers is dumb. The only solution to the restaurant dilemma is getting the virus under control and customers coming back in their doors

F the virus open now while taking precaution like Home Depot and Walmart get to do. I'm glad Idaho is allowing our restaurants and bars to operate while taking precautions.
I just sent a scathing email to our representatives in Washington about voting in favor of Pelosi’s pork barrel covid package!! I asked them how ten million dollars to Pakistan for gender studies is going to help Americans pay rent, feed families and cover everyday costs! 600 to citizens is a joke after the money they just approved for pet projects!!

I certainly agree that foreign aid - in this case for Pakistan gender programs. Not studies- should not be in the bill but
Your thought that pure dollars of aid with save the restaurant industry is stupid - just as stupid as “ f the virus”

Fine, then close EVERY business that allows multiple customers at the same time....EVERY one of them.

You must either work in or have someone close in the restaurant business to be so selfish

Those are NOT provisions of the stimulus bill. They are provisions of the general spending bill to which the stimulus package was attached.
It helps to understand what you are complaining about.

I understand that I am complaining about billions wasted over seas while our own people are suffering. I don't GAS what provisions they are. Doesn't make it any less evil.

In other words back to the swamp!

Selfish is closing businesses down so that you can feel safe. Selfish is not trying to support people who are hurting.
States that have locked down entire industries are helping big business at small business expense. To call the people who are trying to survive selfish is evil.
And, if you look whenever a restaurant opens they have no problem getting customers. To claim that the restaurants are closed because they have no customers is truly bizarre. Let them open and you will see just how many customers they have.
As to your comment to Idaholover, their restaurants are open, so your response makes no sense.
He is absolutely right that the bill that includes the stimulus funds is terrible. Billions going out of the country in foreign aid while we are burning our own country to the ground is an abomination that should be called out. And even the stimulus money in the bill does not bother to target the people that are being harmed the most. $600 to everyone in the country. What is that all about? Some people still have their jobs. How have they been harmed? T
Any money we throw at stimulus should be directly targeted to those who have been financially harmed by government decisions, so it should be targeted to landlords, small business owners and the unemployed.

Then it would’ve an “aid” bill with no chance of republicans voting yes. I appreciate financial conservatism, but that restraint should have happened before the tax break for corporations and the rich bill. Those who voted against this relief (my Senator included) while adding pork are despicable.

Restaurants have no trouble getting customers????
You live in a dream world .
Either people don’t have money to pay rent but food let alone go out to eat or they are hoarding what cash they have because of an uncertain.
Food lines in Texas

Gee. I wonder how many of those people in those lines were doing just fine until they were deemed 'non-essential' by some petty tyrant?

Apparently the last election proves leftists think tyrants are essential... or did they?
