The "conjunction" is very easy to observe. I can see the planets from my wooded location starting at dusk and until they disappear into the treeline.
This was shot with a Nikon Z6, Z adapter, 80-400 Nikon lens, TC17eII teleconverter, 1/4sec, 400iso, f/10
Shot on 12/20, Cropped to approx 1/177 of the original 24mpx.
Not bad but nothing like the excellent shots and information by Ballard with the 16.25 inch Schmidt Cassegrain
I also used a Nikon 1000mm mirror on the z6 but the results were not quite as detailed. I will shoot some more this evening if weather permits, using Nikon 2x converter with z6, and my Olympus equipment with Oly 300 and 100-400 lenses and TCs.
