A newlywed couple in Italy, in some parts of the country, requires by tradition that the couple spend their first night married in the brides house.
So on this first night the new bride Maria is sitting nervously at the kitchen table, while the groom, Tony, is upstairs in the bedroom.
She asks her Mama, who is stirring macaroni on the kitchen stove, what will this first night be like?
Her mother replies that she should go to Tony now, that he is a good man and there is nothing to worry about.
Maria walks into the room and is horrified that Tony is sitting on the bed with his shirt off with an incredibly hairy chest.
Maria runs downstairs and tells the mother, but her mother reassures her that many men have very hairy chests and that he is a good man, and that there’s nothing to worry about and that she should go to him now.
Maria goes back upstairs and now to her horror Tony has his pants and socks off, and on his left foot he only has 2 toes.
Maria runs downstairs again and says,
Mama, Mama, Tony has a foot and a half!
Mama says, here Maria, take this spoon, you stir the macaroni..
