There was a reason Trump mislead the American people about the pandemic. He was guilty of the impeachment charges, should have been convicted by the Senate—and he knew it.
His concern was about himself and the “perfect” telephone call; rather than unite the country in a strategic, unified plan to save American lives. So, he said the pandemic was “under control” and that it would “disappear” by Easter.
The Republican Senate refused to hear witnesses, and Trump averted conviction; but not so much the suffering and deaths from the Pandemic. What a leader!

What pandemic? I listened to Trump and thought it was just the flu or a Democratic hoax. Nothing a little hydroxychloroquin couldn't clear up.

Where have you been all spring and summer? Trump is on tape with Bob Woodward (remember "Rage") on February 7, 2020 telling Woodward how dangerous the virus is, and that is transmitted through the air: and then a week later and for weeks to come that the virus is "under control" and will soon disappear (by Easter). He lied to you and every other American. How can you dispute what Trump said all summer long, and then reconcile that with the situation of the Pandemic today? Trump was obviously wrong, to tell us that it was "under control" It is still very much out of control.
Where is your reasoning? It simply make no sense. Trump has no use for science, but it was science through the cumulative efforts of hundreds of scientists for many years prior to Trump that enabled the vaccine to be developed so quickly. Trump did nothing but initiate science to build on past science to produce a vaccine. Any leader would have done that.
