I do. Also look up maps online when traveling to new locations, either local or far away! Helps to orient me.

I still prefer/love paper maps. Bigger and you can actually see them. I usually get two sets - the ones that cover huge regions and the more local detailed ones. Between the two I can actually understand where things are and the routes. For some places I also have the USGS Topo sheets.

My wife and daughter use the app on their cell phone or tablet and follow the little voice. Until they want to go somewhere the voice can't take them. Then they ask me what my maps show.

I love the paper maps also. They show me why I DON'T want to go the way the phone or gps tells me to go!

I prefer paper maps too. Somehow the thought of a woman’s voice telling me where to drive bothers me deeply. Christopher Columbus and Magellan didn’t need directions and neither do we.

We have paper maps in the door pockets of both cars.
We do use Tom-tom first, and Google maps on the tablet when traveling,
but the paper maps are a good reference and backup.

My phone has a screen that's maybe 2"x3"
My car GPS has a screen that's maybe 4" x6"
My paper maps are around 24" square.

The paper map shows the big picture, where the others just show you the local area.

But the electronic maps can be expanded to a resolution around 200' per inch so you can see details.

I use and like both formats.

when in Europe or USA traveling to a place I am not familiar with I always have a map with detail, our preprogramed Garmin GPS and sometimes the GPS in the car.
Sometimes the two GPS do not agree. The paper map will point out bad ideas from the GPS. Also preplanning with Google maps helps.

I do. When I’m looking for a particular address, I use my GPS religiously, but a map shows the big picture of an area, so to speak.

Yeah, but neither knew exactly where they were going
and you can change to a mans voice if you wish, or just turn it off.

Exactly, DirtFarmer!!
My wife gets frustrated by my need to have a paper map to get the 'big picture' but I like it that way.
As for what's in the door pockets, thats for dog biscuits.
