We don't know for sure but my wife and I could have caught COVID-19 from a restaurant meal where the staff wore masks , customers were well spaced and plastic barriers separated us. I recovered, she is quite ill and may not make it. COVID-19 is not the flu. Please don't go out unless absolutely necessary.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for her.

No weed legal here in NW Wisconsin, but family gatherings okay. AND will have ALL my children, grandchildren gather Christmas eve as NORMAL.
Thankfully haven't really changed our habits from pre Pandemic. But 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law, and 1 grandson are in the critical medical field and get tested daily in some form AND they're all have very much different opinions about Pandemic then what the the media is spewing out a d have to deal with results of this propaganda daily.

My wife and I were both careful, not seeing people and wearing masks when we went out. A week before we both too ill with COVID-19 we went to a nice restaurant that maintained social distance and had plastic partitions separating the tables. We will never know if this is how we both got it, but it does fit the time frame. We were tired of isolation and wanted to go out again. Now I might lose her for good. I understand wanting to meet family at Christmas but like our restaurant meal it is not worth losing a love one over. For that reason I am telling everyone to love them at a distance this Christmas so that months from now you may hug them, laugh with them, and have many more years with them in your lives. I can appreciate that streak of defiance and independence in you, but I have learned COVID-19 is very, very real. More people have died from COVID-19 this year than died in combat in WWII. Every day the COVID-19 deaths exceed the deaths during the 911 attack, or the attack on Pearl Harbor. Please, please, please reconsider.

Yes, Pandemic is very serious and has been a killer. Recently matched annual heart disease deaths, has a ways to go for cancer deaths. And suicide may pass the Pandemic for 2019.

There are some wh may contract the virus and have no symptoms or signs of the disease. Those people may, however, carry the virus and pass it on to others. Your relatives working in the medical field should realize and understand this. If they visit with the remainder of the family, everyone there could contract the virus and experience serious affects and suffer the consequences. I sincerely hope and pray for your whole family that all maintain their health.

IMHO you’re being very silly to have Christmas “as normal”
We don’t live in normal times.i hope everyone stays safe,

It's awesome there will at least be 2 vaccines, with effective length of time, could be 3 months to 12 months. Problem being some vaccinations will lapse before everyone gets vaccinated, so then these people are once more capable of getting infected.
So probably need for annual vaccination, and effectiveness like flue shots....
