Quiet day, about 40 F no wind, mostly sunny. Tide was high and coming in higher! Arrived at about noon and by 1:00 PM all of the birds, including gulls and crows had moved off North! Managed a few shots as the ducks were leaving.
The closest bird to me was the GBH- 145.8 yards measured! The last bird in the area when I left. The rest were over 200 yards out!
The Kingfisher flew by my wife, who was walking our dog behind me, She shouted out the warning and I barely managed to get a few shots before the bird disappeared-to the North! Note the righthand Pintail in the "Pintail Leaving Something Behind" shot-more poop!
D500, 500 pF, 1/2000, f 8, ISO around 1200, EC (asked to use Exposure Compensation instead of Exposure Value) -1.0. Polarizer used.

A VERY good set.................
They may have been far away but you did a fine job with what you got.
Really nice set. Even at a considerable distance! I like all of them!

Thanx! Had to move twice because of the incoming tide. Topaz is my friend.

Thanx! Used a laser rangefinder to measure the distance as the few birds looked small.
