I don't recall ever having seen this before.
I don't see it, do you?
Just kidding...
In Stellarium it has a lot of blue in it, but all I seem to get is reds.
Wikipedia Example They call it a Star Factory, much like The Great Orion Nebula is referred to as a Star Factory, too.
My theory is they are the back side of Black Holes.
That's my story and I'm stickin toit.Anyway, I'm offering up my abysmal processing, and the untouched tiff file as taken (Infinity running in Auto Range), and the hugest file, for all to try processing if you would like.
The trouble with me being inside the house and remotely operating is I'm subject to my (Nap anywhere, anytime) syndrome. LOL! I fell asleep at around 25 images, and woke up at ~52. So I saved and shut down.
I really,
REALLY need a dome so I can just park things. (Yeah. And people in hell want ice water, too.)

Thanks Guys!
Yeah, when it first appeared it was as you see it. So I didn't do anything but to let it run.
Hey Ballard,
I'm thinking about trying my diagonal to be able to easily do adjustments of my camera, and to reverse the refractors view. (Backwards to real life)
Think that might work?
It's a really good diagonal, because I got it with imaging in mind. Williams Optics.
I need to mess something up. This is getting too easy...

I normally only use a diagonal for visual viewing to not kink my neck, I haven't used it with the camera since it would put the weight of the camera off center from the scope and throw the balance point off a bit.
I don't understand how using a diagonal help with the adjustments of the camera? All the camera adjustments I do from my laptop. If I want the image reversed or rotated I would just do it in the photo editor.

Hey Sonny! nice job on this one
I would definitely not recommend a diagonal for imaging. It adds more points of failure and we're talking microns making a difference to your image clarity
also regarding the 'blue', that is OIII that would really come out in narrowband imaging
really great progress!

Hi Brian,
Thanks!
Yeah, the diagonal thought was to make turning (rotating) my camera easy. But then, I'm not so sure it would do anything toward improvement, and might actually cause crashing to be a greater possibility, because of the way I like to run my mount. (Mr. Remote during the winter.) Cluck, cluck.
Oh well, cloudy tonight. Poop!
One of my thoughts about the ASI290MM Mini was narrowband imaging...
Gotta start somewhere.
