Affinity is on sale for $35. A pro level processing program at a real bargain. Just got it. Now all I have to do is learn how to use it. A touch complicated. I'll figure it out in a decade or 2

I find the Affinity set, Photo, Publisher, and Designer to be excellent with superb instructions and customer service. Best of all, I own it.

The Affinity Photo Workbook would have you up and running like a true pro in no time at all. In any case it is a wonderful top quality book - also on special offer at the moment.

I have been with Affinity Photo for 4 years now and it really works for me. There are tons of free instructional videos available, including the 92 that you can access directly from your program. Just go to "Help", than "Tutorial" and there they are.
You will have fun in your learning journey - which will never stop!
Affinity Photo is what I have been using as my secondary editor since I use proprietary software with my RAW data from my cameras. View NX for Nikon and Olympus Workspace for Olympus.
Affinity has plenty of set ups to manipulate the images and they have an excellent service and plenty of tutorials in U-Tube.
I paid $40 for it in 2016. I haven't used it much, but it does work well.

Thanks for this information on Affinity Photo and for the members who commented on their experience with it. I just purchased it, hopefully I will make it through the learning curve.
I've been using it for a few years in conjunction with Capture One.
I find the key is using 2 monitors - one with a photo I am editing, one with an Affinity tutorial.

I got it. Everything seemed hidden, even the basics. I tried it three days. Asked for my money back. Ran to Paint shop Pro Ultimate. $49.95. Very content. Even their one touch photo fix was better than Affinity.
I hate steep learning curves! It may be fine for you since you sound very willing. Had several apps on my laptop and lost them all.
Joe - you surprise me. Glad you are now happy with a one -touch fix.
Welcome to the world of Affinity. A wise choice. If you have worked with Photoshop, your learning curve with Affinity will be easy. Its library of tutorials is great, and help desk is there when you need it. I've been using it since its debut.

I use Capture One and Affinity Photo. I own both and they are great!
