I think we're all hoping that we can continue to have faith in our democracy. After the court dismissals for lack of evidence, Barr's statement his team has yet to find any fraud that would change the outcome, and Krebs affirming the election was free from foreign influence... I was feeling pretty good. That changed when I saw the State Farm tape. That needs to be independently investigated. It's the first time I thought Fulton county my have pulled a fast one. I just checked the Atlanta papers and they are not making a big deal out of it which I find odd. The upcoming weeks are going to be very interesting.

I'm glad I was sitting down when I read your post!

I hope you and yours have a happy and healthy holiday season.

(Fotoartist raised legitimate concerns based on the media available. I felt strongly about this issue and watched it closely for if proven, it would have a dramatic impact on my belief in the vote reliability. Based on AG Barr's findings to date, CISA confirmation of vote process, court dismissals of Trump legal team lawsuits, and the resolution below, I continue to believe the election is reliable and Biden is President-Elect. Granted there may be instances of voter fraud but nothing material enough to change the outcome.)

SUMMARY:
Upon further review, it turns out the tape did NOT reveal fraudulent activity and all concerns have been addressed and dismissed by representatives of the GA Secretary of State's office. Though Trump's legal team may file a lawsuit using the tape as evidence of fraud, it is likely that this suit will also be dismissed for lack of evidence.

DETAILS:
I've been following this closely and the entire issue of the Fulton County tape has been shown to be a mistaken interpretation on the part of the local Trump representatives. They correctly drew attention to a situation that appeared to show potential fraudulent vote counting. The tape and various affidavits were reviewed during a GA Senate Judiciary Committee meeting held on Dec. 3rd. In an earlier post in this thread I saw concern on the part of the senators in their post-hearing comments but they appeared more concerned with procedure than potential fraud. I also noted a lack of media hyperbole in post-meeting coverage. During that post-meeting senatorial comments, a Democratic Senator made references to these issues had already been addressed. It is now clear to me that the Senators call for a voting procedure investigation is to ensure ballot counting problems are addressed for the runoff election on January 5th and more comprehensively for the 2022 election. I now understand why the Senators were concerned but not outraged - they apparently already knew of the Trump team's claims and apparently accepted the state's explanation why there wasn't fraud.

Around 7:00pm Friday, Dec 4th it had been reported in the media that the allegations were mistaken and determined that, despite appearances, what was witnessnessed on the tape was standard ballot processing.

KEY POINT:
I was troubled that monitors and media were (supposedly) told the ballot counting was ending for the night at 8:00pm. While there are affidavits stating monitors and media were told to leave, that is rejected by the local polling leadership. The accusation that ballot counting continued without monitoring is FALSE. Both an independent monitor and an investigator remained on-site throughout ALL ballot counting.

Per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
https://www.ajc.com/news/nation-world/surveillance-tape-breeds-false-fraud-claims-in-georgia/TUWDVHI2TRH3BH6M3SEH7LZPKI/

CLAIM: Poll workers and partisan observers were told to leave Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on election night, but four election workers stayed behind, pulled suitcases full of ballots out from under a table, and scanned them after hours without any supervision.
THE FACTS: The video doesn't show evidence of fraud, much less the “SMOKING GUN” evidence that Trump's legal team claims on social media. No one told observers they had to leave, and both an independent monitor and an investigator oversaw the vote count, according to state and county officials. Confusion arose when election workers thought they were done for the night, but then were instructed to continue scanning ballots. But investigators who reviewed the entire surveillance tape confirmed it showed “normal ballot processing,” according to Gabriel Sterling, a top official in the secretary of state's office.

I appreciate your well thought out and clear explanation of your impression of the incident recorded on the tape in question, but I disagree with your opinion.
There have just been too many incidents of "mistakes", "accidents", or "misunderstandings" with this election to have been random incidents. I can't see where all of these incidents in Biden's favor were simply unintended random occurrences, and until there is a truly comprehensive and open investigation I will continue to believe that the "fix" was in from the beginning and has been in planning for the past four years.
Whats more I feel that if this is not resolved we have seen our last honest election and future elections will be, like this one, simply a facade to cover a predetermined outcome.

I've demonstrated my willingness to be open minded. I gave the issue in Fulton County my riveted attention. I just don't see the evidence that you see. If you or Trump's legal team can provide evidence of fraud, I will listen.

I'm an American - just like you. I honor truth, fairness and the American way. Show me the wrong-doing and I will listen... listen closely. I want to come away for this nightmare still believing in our Republic! Innuendo and false claims are not going to change my mind; evidence will. The Fulton County tape is NOT evidence.

Truly, bring what you have and I will listen. But, if trump can't prove his case, then come on over for what is best for the nation you purport to love as much as I do. Truth MUST prevail if we are to survive.

We simply see things differently, what I see as evidence you see as hearsay, we can both believe what we see, however it will make no difference until the courts and or legislature resolve this issue and who knows, we both may be disappointed.

I agree and am thankful that we still live in a country in which we can freely and safely disagree. To be honest, I am already disappointed regardless of how this ends up. I feel like I've watched our ship of state capsize. There will be no "winners" now, there will only be people who lost less.

On that we agree, someone is poking holes in the ship of state in hopes of sinking it, and for the life of me I can't see what the advantage would be for them.

Ok, that's nice, but why was it so important to count the ballots with no observers? Why were legitimate observers prevented from overseeing ballot counts in so many counting places, I'm sure you can justify this as easily as you justify whatever else furthers your agenda.

From what I saw reported by Atlanta media, there was always an independent monitor and an investigator present when ballots were being counted. Even during that period of time when party monitors and media left and then returned. That there was always independent supervision of the ballot counting is key for me. This gave me the assurance I needed to feel that what transpired in Fulton County was reliable.

I don't doubt your observation regarding this instance, however in many other locations monitors were prevented and or ejected from observing ballot counting.
