Have been watching this pair of Bald Eagles for 3 years now and hopefully for many more. They mate for life and can live for 30 years. The female is on the right (she is 25% larger and has a slightly deeper beak). The eagle is hands down my favorite bird as it is the symbol for our nation and my Marine Corps! PLEASE help me choose which shot to add to our calendar for next year....

The first image IMHO shows lots of love and caring. That is the image I would use.

Thanks, Stan! But in the second image the male is sitting back in the shadows as if supporting the female....

#1 by far. It shows the intamacy that the second one lacks

I'm a diver also...but I think that in the second one the male is adoring his mate....

1st one for sure. Just my opinion it seems to convey more feelings.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Jagnut. I think I favor the second one because I adore my wife, Sally!(but thankfully she is not 25% larger than I).

Both excellent shots Vic #2 for me, I prefer more surround space.

Both excellent shots. I prefer the first one. Can be brightened in post to resemble the second.

I like 2 better. Both are great shots! For your calender printing, if you could pull his head out of the shadow a tad it would be even better.

The first one. The second is nice, but the male's head seems to be in a shadow.
