A Thanksgiving question...

Much has been said this year about Thanksgiving being simpler because of COVID...less traveling, smaller gatherings, etc.. I’m just wondering if anyone is silently rejoicing because they won’t be spending time with people they really don’t want to be with in the first place?😳🥴🤪

Not me! Our family is missing the warmth of a shared fire and dinner table as our clan usually gathers from all corners of the world at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Cheers!

We’re missing that, too. There are usually 20-25 at our house...this year it’s 3. Even though we’ll miss the others we’re thankful everyone is in good health and looking forward to next year and more good times together👍

Uh, room for two more? OK one, I'll tell the wife I'm going out for a can of *something* we forgot. If I leave now I can probably be there in time for you to tell it's all gone. (Looking at your profile/pic your photo from the Iron Tadpole... or for today the Drumstick?)

We are sacrificing our usual big Thanksgiving in the hope of salvaging Christmas. For some of our kids it will be their first time cooking their own turkey dinner. (And they’re all in their 40s) One daughter had this to say:

I couple of weeks ago I thought I really didn't want 8 more people in my house. Today I am a little sad because we can't see them here.

I'm invoking my 5th Amendment rights.
