My Wife and I recently visited the Phillips Art Gallery in Wash., DC; a great gallery if you like impressionist or modern art. We started down a staircase and I was struck by the lighting and intersecting shapes and lines. All I had with me was my iPhone 7. Curious what others think of the photo.

It is a very nice picture. It seems as if it is taken in such a way to give the photograph style and the photographer style points. In other words it has a certain kind of ambiance.

I would have run that in b&w, but if all you have is you cell phone, then that's cool too. (i know many museums are really edgy about people with cameras - especially cameras with flashes)

Your image has a lot of depth and the lighting added so much to the image. The IPhone 7 camera is a camera and did the job in fine fashion.

I like the warmth of the original colored image better than your B&W.

Thanks. Probably motivated that way after looking at a number of art works, including some Hopper paintings.

I agree with you, although the B&W was an interesting take that I had not considered.

Thanks for the transformation. interestingly, this museum is ok with photos without flash, with the exception of certain photos borrowed from other collections for a special exhibit. I assume the lending museum/owner has copyright restrictions they don't want infringed.
