Even if Biden wins the democrats have had a crushing defeat. Rebubs gained seats in the house. Kept the senate, and won most of thye "down" ballot offices. The Dems will not be able to pass their :"socialist " programws. No major tax increases. no single payer medical plans. No fossil fuel bills.Things have to happen with ballot counting regulations. My rules would be--no ballot counting after midnitghtn election day. And some kind of ballot ID. We have it in CT.- no problem at all.

My plan would be in person voting on machines that submit the ballot electronically. Here in Ca. We voted on such a machine, all votes entered via touch screen, review is provided for accuracy, ballot is then printed which is reviewed again and then inserted into machine where it is submitted electronically and hard copy is kept for the records.

You’re a little premature. Who do you think the independent senators caucus with on a regular basis? Who breaks ties? Look to GA for a run off which may tip the balance to dem.

Some kind of in person voting wouold be best. But mail in balloting maybe a reality. If so, there must be a system to verify the legality of those votes. We MUST have some kind of system to guarantee the accuracy of voting. I just can't see how or why any one couold be against this concept.

I’m okay with electronic voting with paper back up. Eight states have no (or inadequate)paper back up systems. I would like that rectified. With going to paper, you have hanging shads problems. That’s a lesson already learned; let’s not regress.

I have three extra ballots mailed to this year, two of those were for expatriates that have not lived here or voted in the last 25 years. The opportunity existed for me to vote 4 times and I seriously doubt that it would have been discovered. This is where the problem with unsolicited ballots, every voter still on the roles was sent a ballot even if he ihas moved out of state or is resting in Forest Lawn. The opportunity is there for those willing to cheat.

Exactly right.
The senate is still totally in question

CA and Judicial Watch must be doing a crappy job of voter roll clean up as mandated if you got such outdated ballots.

CA. is a very Blue State and the cleanup would actually leave less mail in Ballots for the harvesters to make votes for their favorite candidates. Harvesting is a welcome invitation to any with bad intent.

I didn't vote in person this year, but I always have in the past, and it has always been in California. The "machines" I've been accustomed to, simply held the ballot, and made the ballot item visible while I connected the appropriate broken line. lines. Seems simple enough, and verifiable enough, to me. Also, no chads.
