Happy Halloween everyone!!!
My main photographic interest is surfing photography.......sometimes when the waves are not breaking very well I look for other opportunities to photograph. All my UHH friends should look for and grab a hold of great surprise photo opportunities and take advantage of them. The photographer must always be on their toes and "see" those opportunities. When I went to the pier I had no idea the fog would roll in. In this series I recognized the fog under the pier in Huntington Beach and used that fog to enhance my photos. I asked each of these people (total strangers) if they would like some free photos. I emailed them all a series of photos I took of each one and they were happy with the free photos. These all look best in download mode.

Brent, Your Fog images are very interesting. Number 9 is my favorite as to the mystery of who is in the fog. I admire your surfing images. They are exceptional. Thanks for sharing and stay well and safe.Stan

When I saw the title, β€œFog under the pier in Huntington Beach,” I thought, β€œYawn, another cliche photo of pilings and surf.” Boy, was I surprised. This is a fun-wonderful set of images. GREAT JOB OF DELIVERING THE LEMONADE.

Stan, that guy in #9 is Kirk. I talked with him for a while about photography. He is a local surfer and likes to surf at the pier. I told him the next time I'm photographing at the pier and he is there, I will shoot him and give him some photos. Of course he was really happy about that! Thanks for admiring my surfing iimages! I'll stay safe if you do too!!! Take care!

Thanks so much for your comments. #2 was a kind of lucky exposure shot but I like it very much too!

Well rdgreenwood thanks for your comments and I'm happy that you didn't yawn to much! One of my goals of being a UHH memeber is to inspire other UHH members to use their creativity in their photography. I have a saying of: "NO SNAPSHOTS"!! There are way to many boring photos displayed. You don't have to be a professional to use your own creativity to make an interesting photograph. Have a glass of lemonade! lol
