My adobe creative cloud shows updates in PS, LR, LRc, BR & ACR.
But there is no separate Camera Raw icon on my computer. CC says it was updated but shouldn’t there be an Icon to open it as a stand alone?
I am fairly new to PS & can pull up the ACR filter from PS, but isn’t there a completely stand alone ACR ?

The nearest you can get to a standalone ACR is LR. LR is built around ACR. ACR works as a plugin with PS.
You can open ACR directly from Adobe Bridge.

Thank you Graham. I just bought the 5 Day Deal, & on one of the videos on PS the presenter talks about ACR kind of like a stand-alone. So I went to look for it and Creative Cloud listed it but there wasn’t a button to click on it, & nothing in my file list, so I thought I was missing something.
As a side note, UHH has been one of the best resources in my early Photography career, and it’s because photographers like you & others are always there to help a fellow UHH’r. Thank you again
I’m reasonably sure but not positive; but Camera Raw was migrated from a stand-alone application to a Plug-In sometime ago.
That video you saw maybe predates the move to a Plug-in.
Just as a matter of interest, Adobe acquired Rawshooter and incorporated it into LR. I used Rawshooter before Adobe bought it. I remember being rather concerned as to what Adobe might do with such an excellent converter. But I needn't have worried!

HT- you may be correct, I have only been Using Adobe about a year.
It did seem as though the video was recent, but I will check it out.
Appreciate the input.

You'll enjoy using Lightroom "classic" with all the enhanced tools and interface, and as mentioned above, has the exact same ACR functionality at the core of the RAW processing.

Thank you Paul. I have been doing most PP in PS & using ACR as a drop down filter. I actually found it a bit easier to work in than LRc. The Booth Museum in Cartersville has a great Photo group, the Booth Photo Guild (BPG) I am a member and they have been doing online Zoom meetings twice on Saturday. Mornings are a Digital review where we give constructive criticism of submitted images & the moderator makes those changes as we watch.
The afternoon session is a tutorial on PS and each week another area is discussed and shown.
Hope you are well & staying safe.
As soon as you open a raw file in either version of LR or in PhotoShop or bridge, it will display in ACR. Stay well and keep on posting.
I have the Adobe Photographer's plan from a few years ago. It shows ACR when I open the CC dashboard but no open button anymore since as stated it is part of the other apps. My subscription is old enough that the Photographer's Bundle has a total of 9 apps, 4 of which I have never downloaded and installed but they are still on my dashboard.

Thank you Robert, my subscription also has other apps I never opened. I’m still trying to understand BR, LRc & PS and the workflow between them.
Bridge lets you "manage" files like LR. Lightroom lets you manage and edit files, editing without layers like PS. Photoshop lets you edit the pixel level details of images, using a layer-based approach.
You can get a complex as you want, but a typical workflow is to:
1) import images into LR. You might have LR handle copying files from the camera to the computer, or you can do this yourself and them import the files from the computer into LR
2) Cull, keyword and apply global edits to images using LR. Culling and keywording are organizational activities. LR is capable of the full editing of images, both global and local edits to the images.
3) If desired, open the image into PS from LR, using a PSD or DNG or 16-bit TIF. You have an option of sending the LR-edited version or the original file to PS.
4) Save the edits in PS and return to LR to edit more and / or publish the edited result via the LR export function.

Thanks Paul,
I have lots of photos on the computer & will start to import them into LR. Culling I understand but not sure about Keywording. My photos are in folders on the computer. The folders are labeled, ie: Sam Jones Church, 200716 year/month/day.
The images are numbered from the camera, ie: 6758CR2. Is there something else I should use for the Key wording? Do I have to change the image to a PSD, or DNG or TIF file?
Are you saying that the LR image will be updated when I work in PS? Sorry ,
Should we take this into email?
