YouTube (Google) has a new trick, one that is wholly in violation of their mandate as an "open" platform.
As an open platform YouTube is granted many protections from law suits of all sorts, protections NOT afforded publishers. In exchange for those protections, open platforms can only censor content that violates specified policies. These would be promoting violence, pornography, insurrection, etc.
YouTube though, is now openly suppressing content and posting outright false information of their own accord. Here, for example is a screen shot of what appears if one were to search "Biden Fracking".
The real trick, though, is that the "fact check" is 100% false, as shown in the video shown at a Trump rally, showing exactly what Biden has said. This video does not appear on my first page of results, but YouTube DOES eventually show it, proving their own deceptive practices.

This false advertising, in my opinion is a) campaign contribution, and in violation of their charter as an open platform, b) election interference in the form of disinformation, and c) clear violation of free speech, and d) clear evidence that Google / YouTube should be disbanded as both an enemy of the people and as a monopoly. Surely, at least, Google/YouTube should lose ALL protections afforded open platforms and be treated, legally, as a publisher.
How do you all feel when information, truthful information, is suppressed by big tech? Are you a fan of disinformation clearly designed to manipulate the public and to pedal political influence? I mean, it was a CRISIS when a few thousand people may have seen Russian paid advertising, but this BS will be read by a minimum of millions. Is this not a bigger scandal? One that deserves at least the same 3 years devoted to Russia?

I agree with you completely! Facebook Google ect should have no censorship of any political statements or even have an opinion on their platform. Of course there is money involved so all bets are off. Both parties are a disgrace to our country. Evidenced by the lack of support for Trump the first two years when they controlled the entire government. Trump was the outsider. He did not play the good ole boy games in politics. Therefore he was a disruption in both parties plans. Bread and circuses are all they have for us.

That is the thing I fail to understand. How can people believe all the lies told when the evidence is so blatant? I have my entire 60 years gave people to much credit for thought and intelligent reasoning. I never thought people would buy pet rocks. So unfortunately it has been proven again they are as dumb as the pet rocks they bought.
