How do you turn the dvd autorun on and off in windows 10

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-start-winpc/how-do-you-turn-the-dvd-autorun-on-and-off-in/df86be73-ceec-4fcc-8ed4-e4a1902d2be3

OR

From windows (all programs)

Open Windows system click on this PC, this should open a new window.

In this window, you see the C drive and the Disk drive (usually D drive)

Right click on Disk drive and select Open (this should be a list of what is on the disk)

Find Application and click on it (this should open a new list)

Find Start.EXE click this should start loading the programs.

Try a different CD to verify you don't have a bad drive. Or try the CD on another computer to see if it is a CD or drive issue.

I didn't know that elements was available by subscription. It is usually a flat price for a download, '

Yes, I have the photographers package, it includes Photoshop and Lightroom for just about $10.00 a month. They also provide free updates. I just updated to Photoshop 2020 and it included a really neat edit called Sky Replacement, make replacing the sky one step instead of many more. Below is an example using one of their stocked sky's, you can also load your own.

That's right, I want to install what I have already paid for! I have had it on the shelf for some time, so why would the codes expire? When I load it I get nothing, no setup file, no files to click on!

Relax, Adobe is a good company and I am sure they will help you out if you explain that you purchased it years ago but never tried to up load it until now.
Here is their customer support number. They are very helpful and very friendly. 1-800-833-6687

Photoshop and Photoshop elements are different programs though. No subscription for Elements, only subscription for photoshop.

That "package" is not just Elements.

With the PSE 15 disk in your drive, if you run Windows Explorer, can you see the on disk install executable? If you can see the install program, did you double click on it or right click and run as administrator? Did you try any other cds/DVDs to ensure the drive is functioning?

I think something is confusing your system.... Elements isn't a 'rent' program. I have both Elements 15 and Elements 2020 installed on my system with no problem. If you install '15' it should require that you input the 'key' to show you have purchased it, and continue on working, with no reason for 'rental'. Curious....

I did exactly as you suiggested. I have found that I casn go on Adobe site & download. When I tried that, it only offered 2020 & 2021 version not my 15. Adobe is not going to let me open what I paid for!

I have a New Photoshop Elements 15 & Premier Elements 15. When I insert the disc it will not load the program. Adobe only wants to rent me the latest on a monthly basis, that's why I purchased this version 15. I would use these program so few times, I don't want a monthly charge!

Where did you buy your disk?
From Adobe directly, from a store like B&H, or from a questionable source like ebay?

This is the question I have been wondering why nobody has asked up to this point. I own PS Elements 2021, 2018 and 2012. All were purchased from Adobe and all were downloads - no disk. PSE on a disk could be from a third party and could be a rip-off. To buy a program on a disk and then lay it on the shelf for four years indicates to me it didn't mean much when he bought it and probably cost next to nothing.

I'll try once more:
If you start Windows Explorer (You haven't stated your operating system yet),
Does the CD drive show up, in addition to C:?
If so, it isn't doing auto run now.
What items, if any are displayed by Windows Explorer as being on the CD drive?
