Thanks, Linda. Now I have no excuse for OOF images! Just have to remember to adjust the diopters in all of my cameras. I'll do that in a couple of days after the last eye has a chance to heal a bit more. Like you, I'm "left-eyed". As a result, I have a tendency to poke myself in my right eye when messing with button on that side of the camera.

Glad things worked out so well. Your experience mirrors mine, almost exactly, except for the fact the the upcharge on the toric lenses was $400 more, but that's "inflation" (2013-2020).

I really do need the "cheaters for close-up work, but they're only 1.5 diopters; and I have umpteen pairs around the house.

You'll likely notice that the colors really pop, unlike anything before. My doctor told me that the astigmatism really refracts colors.

Good luck, and enjoy your "new" eyes.

You're right about the colors "popping". The blue sky seems so much bluer (if that's even a word!). Even my next door neighbor's grey house looks brighter somehow. My cheaters are 2.00. right now, I only have the one pair, but will be getting lots more if I decide not to go with some version of a bifocal RX for near vision. The "problem" now is that my distance vision is better than 20/20.

Same here. Left eye measured 20/16, right eye measured 20/18 last time they were checked. I go yearly since the surgery, and the surgeon told me I might start to develop macular degeneration when I'm 104.
