I saw this and thought what a great idea to travel full time and take pictures now that we are retired. https://www.rvtrader.com/listing/-5014203758

Hey! CPO, I would still be out there if not for a bout of cancer

I spent 3 months (well 100 days, actually ) living out of my do-it-myself camper. Met tons of people in the Texas State Parks and in Grand Bend National park who have done exactly that. My cost was under 17k to buy a cube van and do the conversion, but the finish in my RV is not up to the standard of these 150k machines. I was interested to find out whether it was a lifestyle I would enjoy. I loved it until Covid shut everything down.
Hoping to get back at it in the Spring. Stay well and keep on posting.

Hey, right back at you! We finished raising a couple kids and then sold the house and hit the road. We are both thinking it's about time to grow up and act like it. We are casually looking for a place to settle down but in no real hurry to do it.
I hope the cancer is in your rear view mirror.

It's a great lifestyle. Just takes some getting used to. I hope you have as much fun as we have.

We have a 27' class A motorhome. Bought it mainly for spending winters down south (we live in Michigan). Lived in it down in Florida last winter for seven months, and found it to be a little too small for that length of time. Due to COVID starting, we spent an unusual amount of time cooped up in it. Will try it again next winter, as COVID has us staying here at home, and with the kids living nearby, we just feel more secure here during this time of distress.

You would think so. About 7 years ago my cousin did exactly that. They bought one of those motor homes. It was rather large I do remember it had a diesel engine.. He asked if I would go to Florida and check it out. I did and we drove back to the city. His daughter lived on Staten Island and he parked it there. Right after Thanksgiving off they go. They came back around Easter. It was then put up for sale. They had a hitch to tow a car but for the time being, they wanted to forgo that extra thing to worry about. On the plus side, they did not sell their home. I guess like most things it not what it's cracked up to be. They were not meant for that lifestyle.

Looks nice. One of the complaints my cousin had was where and whenever you wanted to go anywhere you were driving this motor home around. Parking at times a pain.
Good luck. Oh yeah, you really have to like who you are with.

And they sold the RV for much less than what they paid for. Not so for a house.

I just checked out that MH that you had your eye one. After being in the RV industry for 35 years and trucking industry for 8 years, this things sounds too good to be true. Sure Tiffin is a decent brand of coach until you read that it is powered by a Maxxforce engine. Maxxforce is no longer built and is the engine that put International trucks into the point that VW bought them out. Troubles on the road will definately make your experience not one that you will want to remember.
