This is a beautiful photo! The sky is beautiful and matches the 'Red Wing' which commands my attention.

However, you forgot to PS the grape vine twig on the right and give the right wing the true color of red on the wings. If you would have added a little bit of other twigs along the bottom and made the above corrections you may have fooled me. Regardless, this is a beautiful photo–beautiful photo!!!

This is my own opinion, others may disagree.

The bird takes first place with any background. Aside from the couple of missed spots a great first try. What software did you use?

This one was done with Luminar 4. I did it a few days ago and forgot to post it. I am anxious to see how PS compares. What I like about Luminar is your ability to place objects such as flying birds into your photo. From what I have seen of PS I don't see that option. The biggest problem with Luminar is that you get absolutely no support from them which is why I haven't used any of their other products.

Nicely done on both counts.

Excellent shot of a most difficult subject...the black usually means detail is hard. My only comment would be that the red is orange instead...probably a WB issue that is easily fixable or crank up the red a bit to get it more realistic. That should also get the yellow band below the red back to the right color.

I thought about that color myself. I researched the bird a little more and found this could be what age the bird is. The younger ones aren't always as red. I'm not saying that is the reason but it gave me something to think about. I tried correcting and wasn't too successful.

Nice, but it looks mare like a painting than a photograph
