If by fringing you mean a thin white line, that is a sharpening artefact. If you're referring to a diffuse brightness surrounding dark objects, that is something that shows up in HDR-processed images a lot. Too much Clarity can cause it when editing single images.
Thanks for your reply. I have not done a lot of sharpening-- no need to before now. But my objective to do this as good as my mentor, Jeff Roush from Jackson TN. I do need more practice with this. I tried to use Topaz Denoise AI. But it would never load up and run. So, I deleted it from my computer.
I may go back to Nashville this weekend if the weather cooperates and try again. Next time I'll use my base ISO and do a time exposure. Then, I'll only have to worry about composition and focus.
