Today I retook a photo that I took two days ago and posted here on UHH. This time I used a polarizing filter on my 600mm lens to punch up the colors. I also increased the f-stop. The light was not as intense as it was two days ago. All of these factors forced me to use slower shutter speed than I would have liked. I used 1/50 seconds on a 600mm lens! The resulting image was not sharp! I then used Topaz AI to correct for camera shake and focus. I was amazed how well that worked!
Please download this image to see the detail.
Gettin better all the time, Dave!
Thanks, I'll have to rethink Topaz.

Smart use of AI, but in that lighting you probably did not need the polarizing filter... Stay well and keep on posting.

The polarizing filter made a slight improvement in the reds but not very much.
To make a point about how much Topaz AI helped, here is the same photo in the step prior to using Topaz AI. I was ready to delete the image because it was too soft but decided to see if Topaz could help it. It did!
You will need to download then magnify both images to see the dramatic difference Topaz AI made:
Yup - Topaz certainly brought out the detail.
