The stars have aligned and after a) XC actually has a shortened fall season that started, b) missing the first race due to travel, b) missing the second race due to self-quarantine after traveling, and c) a negative COVID screen to get out of self-quarentine, I can finally shoot a race on Saturday. Whew.....
In concession to COVID safety, spectators are limited this year to 1 per runner. As such, a few of our team’s parents have been granted permission to attend the entire day’s racing events in return for shooting all teams, not just ours, and posting. Fair trade. I added a 1.4TC adapter on to the 70-200 f2.8 to get further back from the runners this year.
Both the boys and girls teams of our local school look poised to potentially win state championships this year. The following showing some of the stars in an early practice race (practice for me too, after almost a year off and a brand new course cut through campus). 2PM harsh late summer sun, but good to have gotten out...
The shots with the two runners each feature 2 of the top 5 runners in the State. Both, through two races in the season, show this to be an epic battle
All shot D7200 with 70-200 f2.8/1.4TC (98-280 f4 equiv). Mostly f4-5.6, SS800 or higher, auto ISO
Any suggestions to help shake the rust off welcome
Enchanting captures of dynamic motion... lovely color harmonies latent within...
Those runners have epic BMI's! What a welcome sight of healthy lifestyle amid the obesity epidemic.
The good news is that the mainstay of treatment is lifestyle changes involving diet and exercise.
